The State of Connecticut Recognizes May 12th and 13th as Teacher Appreciation Days at Zandri’s Martial Arts

We were very excited today to have received a proclamation from our Governor M. Jodi Rell. Here is an excerpt from the official statement:

“Whereas, Teacher Appreciation Days, sponsored by Zandri’s Martial Arts in Brookfield, serves to highlight the contributions of teachers in the Brookfield com unity and demonstrate the indispensable and essential nature of the profession, M. Jodi Rell, Governor of the State of Connecticut, hereby proclaims May 12 – 13, 2008 as Teacher Appreciation Days in the State of Connecticut.”

This is really amazing to see the Governor’s office taking notice of our efforts to honor our school teachers. We have hosted this for 4 years now and to see the teachers getting the recognition they so deserve is incredibly rewarding.

All the teachers who attended the event will be receiving a copy of the proclamation. After we have framed it, we will make sure to hang it in the school for everyone to enjoy.

By the way, we did not forget about our monthly video on the Powerful Word of the month which is ‘Compassion’. We have just had so many other things, (like Teacher Appreciation), to report about we let the time slip away. Keep your eyes peeled later this week for the video.

  1. Congratulations! This is fantastic news. Zandri’s Martial Arts is going well above and beyond to make an amazing difference in the community. You are a wonderful example of how a Martial Arts academy has truly become a Personal Development Center. Keep up the great work.
